The first boys semifinal of the High Plains Conference Tournament featured a pair of intra-county rivals who’s programs have been on the rise the last several years. The Tyrone Bobcats came into the game just 2-0 but ranked No. 10 in the Class B poll, while Goodwell was fresh off handing Yarbrough its first loss of the season and was in the mood to play spoiler again.

But it would be the Bobcats who remained undefeated and advance to tonight’s conference championship with a 41-30 win over the Eagles in the Oscar Williams Fieldhouse at Panhandle State.
