With Class 6A Ponca City coming to town on senior night, the Guymon High School boys basketball team saw an opportunity to end their 5-game slide and gain momentum heading into the regular-season finale Monday in Woodward. The Wildcats made the trek to the Panhandle with a 2-18 record, and Guymon sent them back east with loss No. 19, 46-41.

In the girls game, Guymon’s leading scorer Meagan Bellar was out with a right ankle sprain, taking a key element of the Lady Tigers offense away against the 18th-ranked Class 6A team in the state. And while senior Alexis Bishop took up some of the slack with a 16-point performance, the Lady Wildcat shooters were just too much in a 75-33 Ponca City win.
