More than 1,000 in attendance at Emergency Preparedness Fair

It’s 8:17 p.m. An F-4 tornado has just struck through the heart of Guymon. There’s no power; no cell phones; land line phones are down. Do you know what to do? Do you know where to go?
In preparation for the coming storm season, attendees of the Emergency Preparedness Fair last night found answers to those questions, and many more.
Thanks to the combined efforts of community organizations and area companies, an immense, well-coordinated event hit its intended mark. Folks of all ages and cultures, more than one thousand of them, filled the Texas County Activities Center. They were given a free meal, bags filled with emergency items, and an abundance of hand outs and information to help them prepare for the worst.
