Juanita Lenora Smith passed away in Guymon on Feb. 16 at the age of 81 years, 8 months and 5 days. She was born on June 11, 1930 in Coleman County, Texas to Ethel (Bailey) and Ules Duncan.
She Attended the Voss, Texas school system and graduated with the class 1946 as valedictorian.
She was married to Oble Dooley and to this union two daughters were born, Linda and Vickie.
On April 3, 1977 she was married to Gwin Smith in Miami, Okla.
Juanita owned and operated the Me-Too Day Care Center in Alva for 37 years. She touched the lives of hundreds of families.

Carolyn June “Ketchum” Crist, went home to be with the Lord and her parents on Feb. 14, 2012 at the age of 70. She was born on April 18, 1942 in Elkhart to Carl and Christine Ketchum. Carolyn was raised in Elkhart where she has left behind many friends and loved ones.
She lived many years in Wichita and was very active in Sweet Adeline’s. She worked for Pony Express for many years out of Liberal before she moved back to Elkhart to be with her mother and help care for her.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents Carl and Christine, her sister Donna and her niece Deana.

Memorial services for Bobby L. O’Hanlon Sr. of El Reno, Okla., formerly of Guymon, will be from 2-4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, 2012 in the First Presbyterian Church in Guymon.
Rev. Deborah Hollifield will officiate. Private interment of the cremains will be held at a later date.
Mr. O’Hanlon died Feb. 15, 2012 in Grace Living Center. He was born on May 5, 1924 in Durant, Okla.
He was preceded in death by his parents John & Ora Fields O’Hanlon; Wife Wanda O’Hanlon, three Brothers, and a infant son.
Survivors include his son Bobby L. O’Hanlon of El Reno and two Grandchildren.

Willie Mae Fleming, 95, of Texhoma passed away Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012 at the Coldwater Manor in Stratford, Texas.Â
The daughter of Jesse Coleman and Maudie Belle (Hammond) Henson, Willie was born Nov. 27, 1916 at Kemp, Texas.
Willie and Arval Fleming were united in marriage on June 2, 1941 in Paducah, Texas. They moved to the Fleming homestead northwest of Texhoma where Arval was engaged in farming. In 1997, they bought a home in Texhoma and moved to town. Mrs. Fleming was a member of the Church of God.Â

Bill D. Bledsoe, Sr., 74, Hot Springs. Ark., died Monday, Feb. 13, 2012.
He was born Jan. 27, 1938 in Guymon, the son of John Bledsoe and Lillian Watkins Bledsoe.Â
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, John Bledsoe, Jr.
Bill was a retired welder in the oil and gas industry.

Kenneth Wayne Hill, 62, lifelong Guymon resident went to meet the Lord on Tuesday evening, Feb. 14, 2012 following a brave battle with his health.
The son of Kenneth Theodore and Filomena Kay (Chiusano) Hill of the Oslo community, he was born June 11, 1949 in Guymon. Wayne attended the Guymon school system, graduating with the GHS Class of 1967. He then attended Panhandle State University, where he graduated with his degree in Biology and Chemistry. Following his graduation, Wayne taught high school chemistry and biology in Kansas for a time before returning to Guymon.

AMARILLO — Mary Sue Boyd Wester, 57, died Feb. 10, 2012.
Services are planned for Feb. 14 at the First Christian Church of Gruver, Texas, under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman.
A devoted mother, grandmother and friend, Mary always had a smile and a warm hug for anyone and everyone. Providing strength and a strong foundation for her daughter and grandchildren, she always found the good in every situation and never let the bad deter her. She faced all her battles head-on and never waivered in fear.

Word has been received of the death of Annette Berger, of Bruecken-Pfalz, Germany.
She is survived by her sister, Helma Mallard, of Guymon, Okla.; her brother, Diethelm Sommer, of Florida (formerly of Guymon); several nieces and nephews, her husband and a grand-daughter from Germany.

Elbert Larry Toombs, age 76, died Tuesday Jan. 17,2012 at Covenant Specialty Hospital, Lubbock, Texas, due to complications of diabetes.Â
He was born Aug. 20, 1935 in Brownsboro, Texas to Elbert Miller and Ollie Buena Toombs.
Mr. Toombs is survived by his wife of 55 years Roena Marie Toombs, three children: Sherry Lynn Pittenger, Larry Dale Toombs and Martina Marie Bauer. He also leaves behind a sister Linda Sue Caldwell of Campo, Colo., 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by Juanita Montoya, Erma Ruth Toombs, Jonell Kittle and Bob Toombs.

Gary Wilson Knowles, 63, died peacefully in his nursing home in Thornton, Colo. on Feb. 4, 2012. He was born in Texhoma, Okla. on June 19, 1948 to parents Jeanette and J.D. “Jerry” Knowles and older brother Don.
He graduated from Texhoma High School in 1966 and was a talented French hornist in the Red Devils Marching Band.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Oklahoma State University and designed several banks, schools and commercial buildings during his career.
