Beau Brewer

HARDESTY - Beau Brewer, 27, died Wednesday morning, May 1, at his home north of Hardesty.
Beau Lucas Brewer was born in Guymon, November 21, 1985, to Susan J. (Muir) Brewer and Randy E. Brewer.
He was an incredibly talented craftsman, fixing and building things from a very young age. Most may remember him riding around on his lawn mower all over town as he worked during most of his school years.
He was a gifted athlete and graduated from Hardesty High School in 2004. He worked in the oil fields and as a mechanic.

Edith M. Ferguson

Edith M. Ferguson, died Saturday, May 11, at the age of 93 after a short illness.
She was born March 12, 1920, in Bucklin, Missouri, to John Dewey and Mary Jane Davolt.
Her mother, daddy and sister, Emma Jane Davolt Ferguson, preceded her in death and she is survived by her sister, Joy Bryan of Lamar, Colo.
Edith’s family moved to the tri-state area from Missouri when she was 3-years-old.
Edith graduated from Elkhart High School in 1940.

Jay Tehan

Guymon - Jay Alan Tehan, 56, passed away Tuesday, May 7, at his home in Guymon after battling lung cancer.
The son of Edith May and John James Tehan, Jay Alan was born August 16, 1956, in Dayton, Ky. He spent most of his early years in Bellview, Ky., and later in Cincinatti, Ohio.
Jay joined the United States Army and after his honorary discharge in 1978, he lived in Amarillo, Texas.
He was married to DeeAnna Dudley on March 11, 2006.
The Tehans then moved to Guymon where Jay worked as a maintenance engineer and project planner for Seaboard.

Leanne Denette Tindall

Leanne Denette Tindall, 59, of Hooker, passed away May 2, at her home.
Denette was born June 12, 1961 in Guymon, the daughter of Harold Lee and Patsy Lou Jacobs Minter.
She attended school at Hooker Schools and worked as an assistant manager for a retail gas and oil business.
Denette was preceded in death by her mother, Patsy and sister Diana Minter.

R.A. Lotspeich

May 6, 2013

R.A. Lotspeich, 81, of Laverne, died May 3.
Memorial services will be Wednesday, May 8, at the Shackelford Hall, Laverne High School, at 2 p.m.
Interment will follow at Laverne Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Mason Funeral Home in Shattuck, Okla.

Wilbur Dean Decker

Wilbur Dean Decker, 78, of Hooker, passed away May 3, at Baptist St. Anthony Hospital in Amarillo, Texas.
Wilbur was born September 27, 1934 near Hooker, the son of Frank Leslie and Edna Bessie Willis Decker. He attended school at Hooker Public Schools.
He then began work for the Fischer Brothers, farming and working as their mechanic. For several years he worked for S&S Irrigation in Turpin, Okla., before returning to farm his land, retiring the first of January 2013.
Wilbur Dean was united in marriage to Ida Mae Zordel in Ransom, Kansas at the Church of Christ on June 4, 1954.

Ella Margaret (Dencker) Thaxton

Ella Margaret (Dencker) Thaxton, 89, passed away Thursday May 2, at Katherines Place in Fayetteville, Ark.
The daughter of Chris and Dora (Schroder) Deneker, she was born October 9, 1923 at the family home in Eva, Okla.
Ella grew out of the dust bowl and attended college during WWII while the boys were at war. She later achieved her Masters of Business degree from Oklahoma State University.
She instilled a love of learning and reading in her family.
She cherished her church family at Grace Lutheran in Little Rock, Ark., and later at St. John’s in Fayetteville, Ark.

Guymon - Raymond Richard Ronne, 79, passed away Tuesday evening, April 30, at Southwest Medical Center, Liberal, Kans.
The son of Stella Belle (Denny) and Wilford Richard Ronne, he was born October 13, 1933, on the family farm in Deuel County, S.D.

Amy Nicole Woodbury, 6, special daughter of Brad and Carissa (French) Woodbury; passed away Tuesday morning, April 30, at her home in Guymon.
Amy was born August 18, 2006, in Shattuck, Okla.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Carman Woodbury.

REBECCA CAROLYN PRACHT

Rebecca (Becky) Carolyn Pracht, lifelong resident and passionate community volunteer of Guymon, passed April 23. She was 76.
A Guymon native, she was born at home in the middle of one of the worst dustbowls on record to former Guymon Mayor Paul and Geraldean (Jerry) Fowler on January 17, 1937.
After graduating from Guymon High School in 1955, she attended Panhandle State University.
