Freida “Jo” Thompson was born on August 5, 1947 in Woodward, OK to Norman and Lois (Holmes) Mitchell. She passed away on June 25, 2015 in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 67 surrounded by her family. Freida Jo graduated from Laverne High School where she was a first string guard in the girls basketball team. She attended Oklahoma Panhandle State University where she met and married C. David Thompson on April 1, 1967 in Englewood, KS.

Robert (Bob) Gene Lance

Robert (Bob) Gene Lance age, 71 of Missouri Valley, Iowa passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at his home in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Robert (Bob) was born on April 19, 1944 in Guymon, Oklahoma to Daniel Monroe and Ola (Harvel) Lance. He joined one brother John David and two sisters Wilma and Dorothy. Bob grew up on the farm and traveled with dad on the harvest crew. He joined the United States Army at the age of seventeen. This would be his life for twenty eight years. He was a true soldier and was a proud Green Beret. He loved jumping from planes and repelling for many years.

Mitchell Rafe Begley

Mitchell Rafe Begley, 54, died Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at his residence in Liberal.
He was born April 4, 1961 at Guymon, OK, the son of Jack Vernon and Christene LaVerne (Jones) Begley.
He was a 1979 graduate of Goodwell High School and in 1983, he graduated from Oklahoma Panhandle State University, Goodwell, OK with a Bachelor’s degree. In 2005, he earned his Master’s in Educational Administration from Fort Hays State University, Hays, KS.

Jeremy Musgrave, 37 year old Guymon resident, passed away early Wednesday June 24, 2015 in Borger, Texas. Jeremy was born on October 9, 1977 in Tiffin, Ohio to Michael and Kathryn(Molyet) Musgrave.

Jeremy attended school In Logans Port, Indiana graduating with the class of 1996.

Jeremy moved to Oklahoma from Peru Indiana in 2008 and was working as a production worker for Seaboard Foods.

Ela Patrice "Pat" Meng, 84, of Hooker, Oklahoma passed away June 16, 2015 at Liberal Springs in Liberal, Kansas.

Pat was born January 11, 1931 in Hutchinson, Kansas, the daughter of Bryan Ernest and Lucy Ela Thompson Shaw. The family lived in Goodwell, Oklahoma where her father managed the Big Jo Lumberyard. Several years later the lumberyard chain relocated her father to Aztec, New Mexico where Pat attended Junior High School and then to Hooker, Oklahoma where she attended High School and graduated in 1948.

Erline Laverne Wilson, 89, of Guymon, passed away Tuesday afternoon, June 16th, 2015 at her home. The daughter of Henry Justus and Ella Flora (Bartels) Costner, she was born north of Guymon on May 30, 1926.

Erline was united in marriage to Delbert Dee Wilson on September 17, 1944 in Boise City, Oklahoma. The family had lived in Guymon and Gruver, Texas before returning to Guymon in 1977. Dee preceded her in death on June 29, 1978

She was a homemaker and a past active member of the Foursquare Church.

John Bryant

John David Bryant was born April 26, 1972 in Eureka, California. He passed on June 11, 2015 at the Dunaway Manor after a prolonged bout with muscular dystrophy.

John was an accomplished musician and could repeat a tune on his guitar after hearing it just once. He quietly accepted his disease and made the most of each passing day. John deeply appreciated the kindness and care of the nurses and staff at Dunaway Manor.
