Alda Allene Wilkinson Thomason

Alda Allene Wilkinson Thomason was born September 15, 1920 to Harry and Clara Wilkinson in Liberal, KS. She died at age 94 on July 31, 2015 at the Hospice of the Southwest in Amarillo, TX. After graduating from Keyes schools, Allene went to Panhandle A & M College, where she met her future husband, Jerry Thomason. They were married May 17, 1941 at First Christian Church in Texhoma. For many years, they made their home in Texhoma, then retired in Bella Vista, AR before moving to the Craig Retirement Community in Amarillo, TX for the past 12 years.

Gerardo “Lalo” Silva

Gerardo “Lalo” Silva, 30, of Guymon passed away Sunday night, July 26, 2015 in Juarez, Mexico.

The son of Francisco and Lucia Silva, he was born April 28, 1985 in Guadalajara, Mexico. Lalo was raised in Long Beach, California before the Silva family moved to Guymon when he was 12.

Gladys Fradieu Turner

Gladys Fradieu Turner was born May 14, 1941 in Cloutierville, Louisiana to Sam and Mary Lee (Young) Fradieu. She went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Sunday, July 26, 2015 in Guymon, Oklahoma.

Gladys was married to Henry Lee Turner, Sr. on August 29, 1972 in Westlake, Louisiana. He preceded her in death. Gladys moved to Guymon in the early 2000’s from Beaumont, Texas. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church, where she loved singing during church and with the choir. She truly loved going to church and worshiping her Lord.

Hermit Harvey “Buss” Johnson, Jr

Hermit Harvey “Buss” Johnson, Jr., 90, lifelong Texhoma resident; passed away Wednesday morning, July 29th, 2015 at the Heritage Community in Guymon.

The son of Hermit H. and Edith Martha (Sweet) Johnson Sr. he was born June 18, 1925 on the homeplace north of Texhoma. Buss attended school in Texhoma; graduating with the Class of 1943. He attended Oklahoma Panhandle State University, was a member of the First Christian Church, Masonic Lodge, avid golfer and #1 Red Devil Fan. Buss served as a Navy Seabee in World War II, spending time in Okinawa.

Jerry Wilson Thomason

Jerry Wilson Thomason was born March 6, 1921 to Tiff and Exie Thomason in Texhoma, OK. He died at age 94 on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at the Hospice of the Southwest in Amarillo, TX. After graduating from Texhoma schools, Jerry went to Panhandle A & M College, where he met his future wife Allene Wilkinson. They were married May 17, 1941 at First Christian Church in Texhoma. For many years, they made their home in Texhoma, then retired in Bella Vista, AR before moving to the Craig Retirement Community in Amarillo, TX for the past 12 years.

Bessie(Susie)Oliver, 59 year old Adams resident, passed away July 23, 2015 in Adams.

Bessie Virginia Pickens was born in Midwest City, Oklahoma on July 28, 1955. She attended school in Midwest City. Susie worked in several nursing homes as a nurses aid during her working career.

Juanita June Lambert

Juanita June Lambert, of Hooker, Oklahoma, passed peacefully Thursday, July 23, 2015, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 95.

Juanita was born in Baker, Oklahoma on June 6, 1920, to the late James Mangold and Alleen Webking.

Juanita decided she wanted to go to cosmetology school in Ponca City and pursue a job as a manicurist. Her move to Ponca City also lead her to her first love, Weldon Lewis Ewert. Juanita and Weldon moved to Wichita, Kansas where they married and lived happily for a couple of years.

Huston S. Hanes

Huston S. Hanes, age 91, passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, July 24, 2015, surrounded by his family.

Huston was born August 29, 1923 in a home by the Arizona Well Place in Griggs, OK to the late Ward and Lillian Hanes. Huston graduated from Plainview School in Griggs, OK in 1942. After graduation, he farmed until his retirement in 1985. Huston was baptized into Christ at an early age and was a member of the Church of Christ in Keyes, OK. He was an avid reader and teacher of the bible.

Lucille Pearl (Lawson) Burdge Cavis departed this life on Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at her earthly home in Hooker, Oklahoma, surrounded by loved ones and was immediately received to the arms of her Savior Jesus in her eternal home.

Lou was born October 29, 1938 in Platteville, Colorado to James and Mabel (Harper) Abbett. Lou married Jim Sarchet on March 24, 1957 in Platteville, Colorado. She worked as an in house Bank Auditor for the 1st National Bank in Hooker, Oklahoma until her retirement in 2001.
