Bookout honored by Lions Club |

Panhandle Lions club honored Terry Bookout, of Guymon, with the Melvin Jones Award. "Terry has worked hard this year and deserves this award," the Lions said. Bookout will be secretary for the next year for the Panhandle Lions replacing Robert Scott who had been the secretary for the past eight years. All of the Lions want to thank Bookout for all of his hard work and dedication to the Panhandle Lions Club. The Melvin Jones award is the highest honor a member can recieve and is chosen by the previous winner. Past winners include, Merline Henson, Roy Ehly, Stuart Lower and Robert Scott. The Panhandle Lions Club help with many projects in the community such as, the mobile screening unit, sight conservation and eye glasses, the Total Living Show, scholarships and many more.
