The Texhoma Police Department Wednesday released a sketch of a suspect wanted for questioning regarding an attempted abduction. The attempt took place on July 23. Police are searching for a Mexican male, 44 years of age, 5-foot-6 with a slender build. The man has a medium complexion and black hair with some grey, with brown eyes and a tattoo "Virgin Mary" on his left forearm. The suspect was driving an older model white vehicle with Kansas tags. The Guymon Police Department has been investigating two separate cases in recent months. An Hispanic male is wanted for questioning regarding two indecent exposure cases involving juvenile females. Police in Guymon are also looking for an Hispanic male in his 40s who broke into a home on North Ellison Street and sexually assaulted a woman while her two young children were in the room. Texhoma Police Chief Wayne Hoffman said the Texhoma case is not believed to be related. "We've been working in conjunction with the Guymon Police Department, the Texas County Sheriff's Department and OSBI and we have all come to the conclusion that it doesn't relate to the Guymon cases," Hoffman said Wednesday morning. If anybody has any information regarding the attempted abduction case, call Texhoma Police Chief Wayne Hoffman or Assistant Chief James Tanquary at (580) 423-7771 in reference to case number 08-16-14-0032. |
