The Texhoma Police Department Wednesday released a sketch of a suspect wanted for questioning regarding an attempted abduction.
The attempt took place on July 23.
Police are searching for a Mexican male, 44 years of age, 5-foot-6 with a slender build. The man has a medium complexion and black hair with some grey, with brown eyes and a tattoo "Virgin Mary" on his left forearm.
The suspect was driving an older model white vehicle with Kansas tags.
The Guymon Police Department has been investigating two separate cases in recent months. An Hispanic male is wanted for questioning regarding two indecent exposure cases involving juvenile females. Police in Guymon are also looking for an Hispanic male in his 40s who broke into a home on North Ellison Street and sexually assaulted a woman while her two young children were in the room.
Texhoma Police Chief Wayne Hoffman said the Texhoma case is not believed to be related.
"We've been working in conjunction with the Guymon Police Department, the Texas County Sheriff's Department and OSBI and we have all come to the conclusion that it doesn't relate to the Guymon cases," Hoffman said Wednesday morning.
If anybody has any information regarding the attempted abduction case, call Texhoma Police Chief Wayne Hoffman or Assistant Chief James Tanquary at (580) 423-7771 in reference to case number 08-16-14-0032.

An alleged 14-year-old sexual assault victim who was ran over in the attack has refused to cooperate with law enforcement.
Guymon Police received a call Friday evening of a female standing on the roadway at Highway 54 and Mile 27 in her under garments alleging rape. The Texas County Sheriff's Department was advised due to the location.
Upon arrival, law enforcement found the female with multiple lacerations, and tire marks on her body. She was taken to Memorial Hospital of Texas County by Guymon EMS personnel, where she was reportedly admitted.
But that's where the story gets muddy.
"We determined that the victim is a 14-year-old runaway from Woodward," Sheriff Arnold Peoples said. "She refused to cooperate. Her mom came and got her.
"She changed her story several times. We're not sure what really happened."
At first officials were told to be on the lookout for a blue Lincoln heading east with either Kansas or Oklahoma plates. Then they were told to look for a red Lincoln heading west, then maybe an SUV, direction unknown.
"Her story changed several times," People said. "We're not sure if it was a rape."
Deputies are still investigating the incident.
