First time competitor, eight year old Kati Keimig, showed her judges at Sayer, Oklahoma's Cinderella Beauty pageant what she was made of, winning her the title.
Now that she has been crowned, she will be heading to the state pageant in Tulsa, Okla. in May to compete for the state title.

Keimig competed in casual and party wear, talent, photogenic contest and personal interview with the judges.
She also competed in the Guymon Cinderella pageant and won the photogenic title.
"The Sugar Plum Tree" is a poem that Katie recited for her talent, but she was told that although it was cute she needed to up it a little bit for the state pageant.
After learning that the talent category was a more serious part of the pageant, she got together with some friends who helped her put some choreography to "My favorite Things." She will be performing this at the state pageant, coordinating it with a white dress with a blue satin sash.
"I am very excited with my new talent because I had the help of Evan, Eva and Emily Dye. They have helped me put a dance along with my  song and I am very thankful for their help," Keimig said.
Her casual outfit was a pretty pink Capri pant set with white shoes. Her party dress was a knee length Cinderella sequined dress with accessories to match.
"I like being in pageants because of the new clothes, prizes and it was fun getting to be with my friends," Keimig said.
Although Katie placed in both the Guymon pageant and the Sayre pageant she can only represent one city at the state pageant and they have not decided which one she will represent.
To help pay her way to the state competition, Katie is selling Sonic community cards, princess halo and wands. If interested in purchasing stop by K&K Auto Body at 601 NE Fourth Street in Guymon.
Kati is the daughter of James and Roz Keimig of Guymon.
The state pageant will be May 29-31in Tulsa, Okla.

I have to say, I was so disappointed in the Pioneer Days parade this year. It just seemed to be one long commercial for businesses, hardly any floats that exhibited the theme, which was what? And any Tom, Dick,or Harry could drive his car in it. Where has the spirit of Pioneer Days gone? My dad was born north of Guymon in 1912, lived there his entire life, and died there in 1994. He was 81 years old. He was a true pioneer. He was a farmer who survived the dust bowl days. He saw so many things come to pass and he got to witness the evolution of all those wonderful things. He and so many like him are the kinds of people we need to honor with Pioneer Days. We should never forget our roots. People say that Guymon hasn't changed. Oh,yes it has!! No matter where I live, Guymon will always be home even though my parents have passed on. I am proud to say I am from Guymon. I enjoy coming home especially for Pioneer Days, but I hope next year it looks more like the Pioneer Days I grew up with. Pioneer Days is the one thing that shouldn't change and should always honor those who paved the way in the Panhandle.
