Once again this year, Guymon will have the opportunity to attend a concert of a group that has been voted "Best Male Vocal Group" six times and has fourteen awards for "Best Album".  The King's Herald Quartet will be performing in Guymon at the Memorial United Methodist Church on March 5 at 6:30 p.m.
The group performs in a variety of styles, making their music a favorite with all age groups. Their well known acapella style creates a musical experience not likely forgotten.
The eighty three year heritage in gospel music, founded in Keene, Texas in 1927, is recognized world wide. Current members are Don Scroggs, Tenor, Joel Borg, Lead, Russell Hospedales, Baritone, and Jeff Pearles, Bass, though 30 men throughout the years have taken part in this long standing quartet.
The "trans-demoninational" group has toured all over the United States as well as the islands of the Caribbean, all of Latin America, the South Pacific, Australia, the Orient, and Africa. They have performed for heads of state, kings, presidents, governors, ambassadors, and other dignitaries, according to a release.
The Kings Herald has also shared their gift of music before several large associations, such as the Christian Booksellers Association, The National Association of Evangelicals, the National Association of Religious Broadcasters, and the Protestant Health and Welfare Association.
The group has received twenty-three "Silver Angel Awards" from Excellence in Media, and also has received a "Gold Angel Award" for being the longest standing continuous gospel quartet in America.
Don't forget March 5 to bring the whole family to enjoy this special evening.
