With economic times making it hard for nearly everybody, especially those with growing children, a little break or a way to make a few extra dollars is always welcome. A consignment sale is a solution that is growing in popularity by leaps and bounds throughout the United States. Individuals, families, organizations, and even businesses can bring personal items to sell and receive a portion of the sales price. The event is organized, advertised, and operated by a consignment company. Chaunsea (Stickler) Keller, of Lawrence, Kansas, and Chelsea (Stickler) Hendrich of Littleton, Colorado, sisters and Liberal natives, along with their parents, Bruce and Jan Stickler of Turpin, OK, have purchased the franchise "Kid's Closet Connection" and are bringing this consignment event to Liberal and Garden City this spring. "As a mother of 5, my time and money are very limited. I have benefitted immensely from consignment sales in the Denver area. In one day I am able to shop for great clothing, accessories, and even birthday presents for each of my kids at prices that I couldn't find anywhere else. I have quit shopping at the mall all together, which saves me so much money and time," explained Hendrich. Keller added, "Families really do benefit greatly from consignment sales. Sellers are able to clean out closets full of outgrown kids items and earn 70% total profit from their sales. The sale is advertised in all surrounding towns, so the chances of selling their items are great. Shoppers get a huge selection of kids items from furniture to toys to clothing at such great prices. It's a win-win for everyone involved." The process itself is amazingly simple. Sort through and find all of your unneeded or unwanted items, log on to the website to print tags, attach the tags to the items and then drop them off. The website address to print the tags is http://www.kidscloset.biz/sales/seward.county. "It's such an easy way for families to earn money from extra things they have around the house!", said Stickler. "I can literally tag about $100.00 of profit in 30 minutes. We also have a valet tagging option, so you don't even have to tag if you don't have time." Guymon resident, Sheila Bellew is very excited about this sale. "I can't wait! I've traveled to Wichita and Amarillo for similar sales and it's always been well worth my time not only for the money I make, but for the quality of items available to purchase. I expect this sale to be just as good and it's so much closer to home!", exclaimed Bellew. The Kids Closet Connection consignment sale will take place in the Seward County Events center, Ag building, on March 5 through March 7 in Liberal, Kansas. The Garden City sale is slated for April 9 through April 11. All items that are not sold at the Liberal sale will be taken to the Garden City event.
