Although the onset of winter snow storms can make ones schedule a little hectic with driving, the dismissal of school and just getting from point A to point B, no one  can deny the beauty that comes with a heavy snow fall. This snow-packed tree is evidence of this.

City Council to meet at 7 p.m.

The Guymon City Council will meet at the City Council Chambers, 219 N.W. 4th tonight at 7 p.m.
Items on the agenda include the approval of the purchase orders for the month of November, 2009. Followed by public comments and announcements. Next will be the discussion and possible actions on changing meeting dates on the November 26, 2009 meeting and the December 31, 2009 meeting. Ending with the discussion and possible action on the approval of the emergency operating procedures (EOP).
City council members will reconvene as the Guymon Utility Authorities (GUA). Items on that agenda include the approval of purchase orders for the month of November, 2009. Followed by public comments and announcements. Next will be the discussion and possible action on changes to order number 5. for the BRB contractors for section A northeast plant for wastewater treatment plant. Next will be the discussion and possible action on CWSRF (wastewater-ultraviolet system and sewer out-fall line) disbursement request number 2 in the amount of %65,824.77. Followed by new business and finally adjourning of the meeting.
The City of Guymon encourages participation from all its citizens. If participation at any public hearing is not possible due to a disability, notification to the city clerk at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled meeting is encouraged to make necessary accommodations. The city may waive the 48-hour rule if signing is not the necessary accommodation.
