Fatality Collision

A two-vehicle fatality collision occurred at 4:20 p.m. on Monday three miles north of Guymon on Hwy. 64. Felipa Gloria Valdez, 75, of Guymon, was pronounced dead at the scene with massive injuries.
A 1992 Pontiac driven by Valdez was headed northbound on U.S. Hwy. 64, vehicle two, driven by Aaron Bachman, 25, of Goodwell, was headed southbound on U.S. Hwy. 64. Vehicle one went left of center, vehicle two took evasive action to avoid collision. The two vehicles struck each other's drivers sides, headlight to drivers side headlight.
Both occupants of the vehicles were wearing their seat belts.
Driver one was pinned for 40 minutes while authorities rushed to remove her from the vehicle. Valdez was pronounced dead on the scene from massive injuries. Bachman was not injured.
The wreck was investigated by Trooper Grant Arnold of the Guymon Detachment, Lt. David Welch, Lt. Richard Hill, Trooper Levi Hill, Size and Weights Trooper Boyd Perry, Texas County Emergency Management, Guymon Fire and Rescue and Guymon E.M. S.
