Special City Council Meeting
Monday, 02 November 2009
By KATIE MARTIRE
Managing Editor

A special meeting will be held at the City Council Chambers on Tuesday, November 3, to discuss and possibly take action on ordinance No. 751, an ordinance amending part eight of the Guymon City Code by creating a new chapter nine called hospital, ambulatory surgical care facilities and managing centers.
The ordinance will make anyone opening a facility that falls under the three categories mentioned previously to file for a permit to see if their facility will have a detrimental impact financially on the existing hospital facility, a feasibility study would be conducted, costing anyone filing for the feasibility permit $10,000.
The voting of this ordinance is declared an emergency.
The City of Guymon encourages participation from all its citizens. If participation at any public hearing is not possible due to a disability, notification to the city clerk at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled meeting is encouraged to make the necessary accommodations. The city may waive the 48-hour rule if signing is not the necessary accommodation.
