Missed Curve Ejects Two, Sends 6 to Hospital, 2-year-old Critical From Staff Reports A 1-vehicle rollover accident sent six people to area hospitals on Saturday night at the Oklahoma-Texas state line. According to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a 1997 Mitsubishi was north-bound on a county road 12 miles south of Guymon near the Texas State Line when the vehicle failed to negotiate a curve and rolled one-and-a-three-quarter times. Two of the six people in the vehicle were ejected. The driver of the vehicle, Saul Ramirez, 33, of Guymon, was taken to Memorial Hospital of Texas County and then medi-flighted to Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo with neck and internal injuries. He was listed in stable condition on Sunday. Passenger one in the vehicle was Benjamin Rodriguez, 35, of Guymon. He was taken to Memorial Hospital of Texas County and was admitted with shoulder and internal injuries, listed in stable condition Sunday. Two passengers — Adan Lopez, 25, of Guymon and Vanessa Gonzales, 20, of Guymon, were ejected from the vehicle. Lopez was medi-flighted from the scene of the accident and flown to Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo with head and internal injuries. Gonzales was taken to the Guymon hospital and then flown to Amarillo with a leg injury. Both were listed in stable condition Sunday. A fourth passenger in the vehicle, 2 year-old Kimberly Ramirez of Guymon, was taken to the Guymon hospital and then flown to Amarillo with head and internal injuries and she was listed in critical condition as of Sunday afternoon. The fifth passenger, Lady Ramirez, 27, of Guymon, was taken to the Guymon hospital, where she was admitted with internal injuries and was listed in stable condition. Seatbelts were equipped and in use by the driver and Benjamin Rodriguez. The seatbelts were not in use by the other passengers, according to the OHP report. The accident was investigated by Trooper Ryan Williams (I-746) of the Guymon Detachment, assisted by Trooper Grant Arnold (I-325) of Guymon, Lt. Welch (I-167) of the Shattuck Detachment, Guymon EMS, the Guymon Fire Department and the Hansford County, Texas, Sheriff's Department.
