The Texas County Coalition has been dreaming about a youth shelter being built in Guymon for many months; and due to grants, donations and community support that dream will soon become a reality.
The Panhandle Shelter for Children in Crisis (PSCC) will house and protect children, birth to 18 years, who are in need of an emergency shelter.  The need could be due to abuse, neglect, voluntary parental placement or other unforeseen situations within the family.
On Saturday, October 3, at 8 a.m., a golf tournament will be Sunset Hills Golf Course to help raise funds for the PSCC.  So far, more than 20 teams have signed up for the event.
This tournament is just one of the many ways that the community can help support the PSCC.  Donations and community support are still needed to make this dream possible.
