The ability to motivate people, to be a positive influence and to effectively communicate are all powerful attributes for a speaker to have. Jimmy Cabrera, a professional speaker and consultant, has all of these attributes and then some. Cabrera is one of the top three Hispanic motivational speakers in the nation. He has been speaking to organizations, businesses and schools for more than 22 years. Next week, Guymon and Goodwell will be able to hear first-hand the motivational and educational message that Cabrera has been delivering. On September 29, at 6:30 p.m., he will be giving a parents seminar at the Guymon High School Auditorium. On September 30, at 9:30 a.m., he will be speaking to Guymon High School students at the Guymon High School Auditorium and later that day, at 1:30 p.m., he will be speaking to the Upward Bound students, as well as students from other area schools, at the OPSU Centennial Theatre in Hughes-Strong Hall. The event is sponsored by the HALO of OPSU, along with the Upward Bound program. The public is invited to attend each of the events and enjoy the motivational and educational message that Cabrera has to offer.
