The Panhandle Exposition is going greener. On Thursday at 9 p.m., a challenge was issued by the Texas County Fair Board and Eva Mussman. The challenge is for those attending the fair to find all the recycled/green handiworks at the fair and receive a trophy and bragging rights. A hint for those accepting the challenge, look for a body of reused aluminum can tabs. Friday the fair will be open with a visit from the Oklahoma City Zoo. The zoo will be bringing nine different animals and the will be available from 5 p.m. to close. Saturday the homemade ice cream and dutch oven cooking contest will be taking place. Entries must be turned in by 2 p.m. The honorary judges for the event will be Brian and Ann Braley of Guymon Heating and Air.
