Guymon man hurt in rollover
Monday, 10 August 2009
LAVERNE, Okla. — A Guymon man was hurt Saturday in a 1-vehicle rollover in Harper County.
Tomas Chan-Macario, 25, of Guymon, was driving south on Highway 283, 3.8 miles north of Laverne at 7:10 p.m. Saturday when he reportedly fell asleep at the wheel.
According to the Oklahoma Highway patrol, Macario's 2002 Isuzu departed the roadway to the right. The driver over-corrected to the left and the vehicle rolled twice, coming to rest on its wheels, facing north.
The driver was taken to Harper County Community Hospital in Buffalo with head, leg and trunk internal injuries. He was listed in stable condition Sunday.
According to the OHP report, the driver was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.
The incident was investigated by Trooper Chase Miller of the Laverne detachment, assisted by Trooper Dustin McAtee, the Harper County Sheriff's Department, Laverne, EMS fire and police.
