Although the onset of winter snow storms can make ones schedule a little hectic with driving, the dismissal of school and just getting from point A to point B, no one  can deny the beauty that comes with a heavy snow fall. This snow-packed tree is evidence of this.

Volunteers are not always easy to find during an emergency, just ask this week's familiar face, Theresa Boyd. Born in Arizona, Boyd has been a large part of Guymon and its' surrounding areas during their times of crisis'. As the director of the American Red Cross, Boyd has had a lot to do with making this community a better one to live in. She has been running the Guymon Red Cross for over a year now.
Theresa is in charge of licensing Guymon with CPR training, setting up shelters, helping families in times of need, such as a homes being damaged in a fire. She volunteers her time whenever she can. Boyd is a member of the Morning Star United Methodist Church in Hough, Okla. Theresa, along with boyfriend, Ismael Carrillo, attend missionary trips to Mexico.
While not working or volunteering her time to help the community, Boyd loves to spend time with her family, her parents, sister and Ismael. She also loves to spend time at home with her two dogs, Missy Blue and Mona and her cat, Zoey. She loves road trips and traveling in general. Her and Ismael are game nerds, "I beat my boyfriend at Call of Duty all the time," said Boyd.
When Theresa was young, she aspired to be a rock star, she admits she still does. She listens to any music she can groove to and her favorite movies to watch are comedies. Her favorite t.v. show is "Friends," she owns all 10 seasons. Her dream car is a Pontiac Solstice, Boyd admits "I have been in love with this car since it was even a concept."
