At the weekly meeting Monday morning, the Board of County Commissioners of Texas County approved the Resolution for the County Wide Burn Ban for another seven days.
Nicole Lux was appointed as a new Detention Worker for the Sheriff's Office during the meeting.
Other items on the agenda, The Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) was approved by the Board for their Claims for a bridge over the Beaver River, 0.1 mi. E and 6.0 Mi. South of Adams and also a bridge over Coldwater Creek, 4.9 mi. North and 3.7 mi. West of Hitchland, Texas.
Also approved by the Board Bid #19-08-09, Highway marking paint for Districts #1, #2 and #3 is a go.
Mentioned at the meeting, Gary Winters wanted the public to know that a bridge will begin construction on Black-top Road 28, north of Optima, and will remain closed for 60-90 days. An alternate route will be announced as soon as plans have finalized.
