Although the onset of winter snow storms can make ones schedule a little hectic with driving, the dismissal of school and just getting from point A to point B, no one  can deny the beauty that comes with a heavy snow fall. This snow-packed tree is evidence of this.

Local Teens Abusing Rx Drugs
Wednesday, 21 January 2009
By MIRANDA GILBERT  & JAMES  PIERCE
There’s a new epidemic spreading across the country, and this one is taking hold of not only adults, but local teenagers as well.
It’s prescription drug abuse and addiction.
At 6 p.m. on Wed., Jan. 21, in the Guymon High School commons area, Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics Training and Education Agent Michael Snowden will be presenting an informational and entertaining program on the current drug trends here in Oklahoma with an emphasis on Pharmaceutical drug abuse.
Parents may not even realize the danger sitting in their mediceine cabinet, according to Snowden.
This will be an opportunity for parents to become better informed about the signs of drug abuse and what parents can do to help safeguard their children.
