Tiffany Leach

Girl of the Month
Tiffany Melissa Leach is the 17-year-old daughter of Buddy and Melissa Leach, and is a 12-year senior of Guymon High School.
She has immensely enjoyed being in the GHS speech program all four years of high school.  Her freshman year, she qualified for state in standard oratory; her sophomore year, she qualified in standard oratory and monologue, and was the state runner-up in standard oratory.  Her junior year, she qualified for state in dramatic duet, humorous interpretation, and original oratory; she was state champion in original oratory that year.
Every year during her high school career, her speech team has been state champions, and she plans to continue that tradition this year.  She will be a four-year letterman in speech this year.  She has been a member of the One-Act cast or crew all four years of high school.  This year they received state runner-up for their play, All the Great Books.  She is also a four-year member of the National Forensic League.  This year, her senior class voted her as "Most Dramatic."
She received the award of best female cameo in 2007 for her role in the high school musical, Oklahoma.
She was on the GHS yearbook staff and French club for her sophomore and junior years.
She was on the GHS Academic Team for all four years of high school.
She has been a member of the National Honor Society her sophomore, junior, and seniors years.
She has attended the Nazarene youth group since seventh grade, and has attended the Nazarene church her whole life.  She has been a member of the Guymon Nazarene Bible Quizzing team her freshman, sophomore, and senior years.
Tiffany's plans for the future include attending the University of Central Oklahoma and majoring in secondary education specializing in English.

Trevor Bowers

Boy of the Month
Trevor Deon Bowers is the 18-year-old son of Doyle Bowers and Misty Murray of Guymon.  He is the grandson of Nolan and Patty Bowers of Guymon and Georgia Delao of Hooker, Okla.  He is the older brother of Shayla (17), Chenell (15), and Levi (12).
Trevor is active in Guymon High School cross-country.  He has run cross-country his sophomore, junior and senior year, all years of which he was a varsity runner.  He was awarded Co-Most Valuable Runner of 2006, his sophomore year.  He is also active in GHS soccer, since his freshman year and has been a varsity starter throughout high school. His junior year, he received the Fighting Tiger Award.  He was part of the 2008 district 4-A champion soccer team. He has lettered in soccer for the past three years.
He has also lettered in cross-country for the past two years.
He has been active in the Upward Bound program since his freshman year and has attended the summer camps the past three years.  He is an active member in Business Professionals of America.  He was nominated and participated in Oklahoma Boys State, sponsored by the American Legion, the summer prior to his senior year.  Throughout high school, he has been on the Principal's Honor Roll.
He was a member of the 2005-2006 Oklahoma High School Honor Society.  He received the President's Education Award for Outstanding Academic Excellence in 2006.  He has enjoyed delivering Christmas baskets for the Ministerial Alliance.
He was a member of the 2008 homecoming court and voted homecoming king by his peers.  He was also voted El Tigre Royalty for his senior year.
He has maintained a job at Pizza Hut south for the past two and a half years.  His hobbies include soccer, juggling, playing ping-pong, and hanging out with Julia, friends and family.  His future plans include attending college, playing college soccer, running college cross-country, and restoring his 1972 Dodge Dart Swinger.  He would like to thank the GHS faculty and Rotary Club for this distinguished honor.
