Tyrone, Hooker pick up wins; Guymon, Texhoma fall

The Tyrone Bobcats improved to 3-5 with a 44-30 win over Balko on a cold and wet Friday night in Tyrone. The Bobcats were down 30-28 at the half in a slugfest, but shut the Bison out in the second half to grab the win.

In other action. Hooker improved to 6-3 overall and, more importantly, 4-2 in the District A-1 standings with a 29-16 win on the road at Fairview. The win puts the Bulldogs into a 3rd place tie with Fairview, while Thomas-Fay-Custer took sole possession of second with a win over Burns Flat-Dill City. Mooreland blanked Texhoma 40-0, dropping the Red Devils to 4-5 overall and 3-3 in the district standings heading into next week's season-finale in Hooker.
