Texhoma welcomes new, unique clinic

Texhoma has a new unique clinic which opened today that will be combining health care services that make the new Panhandle Health Care and Counseling LLC.
The clinic’s location will be at 210 N. 2nd in Texhoma and is formerly known as Texhoma Clinic.
Margy Cox APRN-CNP will be providing health care services including, but not limited to counseling and educating patients on health behaviors, self-care skills, treatment options, diagnosing and treating acute illnesses, infections and injuries, diagnosing, treating, and monitoring chronic diseases, ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic studies, and prescribing medications with consultation and collaboration with Dr. Barias MD.
Gene Cox MS L.P.C. will be providing therapy services including, but not limited to couples and relationship counseling, family therapy, emotional and mood disorders, grief and loss, stress management, and psychological testing.
“We offer total care,” said Gene Cox. “This is a unique opportunity because mental health and healthcare are combined. You don’t see that much around, and so it is kind of one of a kind.”
There will be a parade and bazaar with open house at the clinic from 6-8 on Nov. 29. It will be a meet and greet with drawings for prizes and raffles included.
Clinic hours will be 8-5 p.m. Mon.-Fri. with the exception of it being open from 10-7 p.m. on Tues.
The clinic will accept most insurances, Medicaid, Medicare, and private pay.
