Texhoma geared up for Fiesta Day, Homecoming

Jamey Mitchell, president of the Texhoma Alumni Association, would like everyone to enjoy a fun time at the Texhoma Red Devils 2012 Homecoming Bash that will be held this Friday and Saturday, Sept. 28 and 29.
The festivities begin on Friday with special recognition of Alumni and the 7 p.m. crowing of the Queen and watching the Red Devils take on Moreland for the Friday night football game.
Saturday begins some more fun as the Prestage Farms Walk/Run begins at 6 a.m. and goes until 10 a.m. There will be an Alumni Breakfast at Texhoma Livestock Restaurant sponsored by Kenneth W. Harland, DDS.
11:30 a.m. will kick off the Fiesta Days Parade, followed by a Rotary BBQ in 2nd St. Park at noon, and the Rotary Turtle Race at 1:30.
At 2 p.m. in Main Street Park, Craft Booths will be set up and the softball tournament begins. Music in the park is sponsored by Prestage Farms and there will be a Live Broadcast by KGYN.
At 3 p.m. there will be a Kids Pass, Punt, and Kick Competition sponsored by Farm Credit, followed by a Kids Tractor Pull sponsored by Anchor D Bank at 4 p.m.
The Pork giveaway is sponsored by Seaboard and will be at 5 p.m. right before the 50 inch flat screen TV giveaway at 5:30 sponsored by Texhoma Wheat Growers and Epic Touch. Raffle tickets for that are 1 for $10, 3 for $20, 10 for $50, or 25 for $100.
The food and booths will be going on all afternoon and evening and Bingo will begin at 8 p.m. at the High School cafeteria.
The Golf Tournament starts at 2 p.m. on Saturday with the first tee time at Sunset Hills. It is a Four Man Scramble, and if anyone doesn’t have a team prepared, they are encouraged to just show up, and they will help provide a team for you.
