Mary Lee Rodman, 84, went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, May 18, 2012 at Baptist Regional Health Center, Miami, Okla.
The daughter of Opal (Cobler) and Joseph Wyant, she was born Sept. 20, 1927 in Orlando, Okla. She was united in marriage to Hugh Rodman on Oct. 1, 1946 in Liberal, Kan.
The Rodmans ran a Kirby Vacuum Distributorship many years in Jonesboro, Ark.
Mary was an active member of the First Assembly of God Church, Jay and later the First Assembly of God in Miami. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and child of God, Mary Rodman lived her life doing the work of her Lord.
She will be missed by her husband of 65 years, Hugh Rodman of Miami; two daughters, Sandra and husband Danny Holden of Miami; Linda Rodman of Eureka Springs, Ark.; two sons, Gary Rodman and wife June of Amarillo; Randy Rodman of Eureka Springs; sister, Eva Taylor of Amarillo; six grandchildren, Dawn Snellgove, Jamie Ragsdale, Brandi Dunn, C.P. Rupard, Amy Lauer, Casey Holden; and 10 great grandchildren; two sisters in law, Oteka Rodman Thomas and Cynthia Rodman, one aunt, Karna Cobler; and numerous nieces and nephews who also loved her very much.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Diz Wallis.
Funeral services will be Tuesday afternoon, May 22 at 2 p.m. at the Henson-Novak Funeral Chapel, 501 NW Fifth in Guymon, with Rev. Van Heckle, pastor of Tabernacle Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery under the care of Henson-Novak Funeral Directors.
