Making the Public Safety Broadband Network a reality

September 4, 2012

HOOKER — The focus is on a nationwide broadband network for public safety personnel at an upcoming meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 11, at 6 p.m. at Hunny’s in Guymon. While the meeting is open to the general public, it will be of most interest to those who work in public safety, e.g. police officers, firefighters and other first responders.

FirstNet Oklahoma Panhandle Region Coordination Element (FORCE) is the local organization spearheading efforts to ensure the region is ready to implement the Public Safety Broadband Network identified by Congress in the Middle Class Tax Relief and Job Creation Act of 2012 signed into law in February.

Attend the FORCE informational meeting hosted by Tri-County Electric Cooperative on 9-11-12 to learn more about this effort. To ensure an accurate count for the meal, RSVP by Sept. 7 to info@forceok.org.
