Goodwell, Hooker girls part of High Plains Storm basketball team

Kyra Cathcart, of Hooker, and Shambri Kelso, of Goodwell, are part of the High Plains Storm ninth and 10th grade girls basketball team from Forgan, a traveling Mid America Youth Basketball team. They won their first tournament in Elk City, and then competed against 36 other teams from several states at the Summer KickOff Tournament in Newton, Kan. They then competed against girls that were in an older high school age bracket in a tournament in Dodge City, Kan., and in their final tournament in Enid this past weekend. Randa Neugent Hazelbaker coaches the team and Christy Salisbury is the assistant coach.
