The Guymon Daily Herald is pleased to announce another "Good Neighbor" in our community.

Local communication service provider, PTCI, informed the GDH that for many years, their employees have helped to bring joy to several needy families in the area by participating in the Star Tree Christmas program.

This year PTCI employees collected $1,145.17 toward the project, PTCI Management and Trustee approved a matching gift of $1,000 as well. The group was able to provide three families with a total of 10 children presents for Christmas.

After the gift purchases, $525 remained and it was donated to Loaves and Fishes.

In a press release about the group, PTCI said, "For many employees at PTCI, this yearly project captures the true spirit of Christmas. To a needy child, the gift of a shiny new toy means that someone cares and that Christmas hasn't passed them by."

Year round participation in worthy community projects such as the Star Tree and Loaves and Fishes is encouraged by PTCI and its employees.
Director of Human Resources Mitzi Dain heading the project every year said, "PTCI's employees are a rare group of people. Whether it is an employee in need or a need in the community, they always come through with generous support."

The Guymon Daily Herald thanks you, PTCI, for your effort and kindness to those less fortunate.
