Evelyn Deane

Evelyn Deane, 102, of Guymon, passed away Saturday afternoon, Aug. 18, 2012 at the Dunaway Manor in Guymon. 
The daughter of George Edward and Anna Bell (Reeves) Woods, she was born on Aug. 9, 1910 in Rolla, Mo. The family moved to the Oklahoma Panhandle from Rolla in 1916. 
Evelyn attended Northfork School N.W. of Texhoma.
She was married to Merle Deane on April 29, 1927 at Eva, Okla. Mrs. Deane was a homemaker, worked as a waitress for several years, and caregiver. 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Merle on Aug. 17, 1977; one daughter, Betty Ruth Hirn; two sons, Jerry W. and Billy Dixon Deane, and a granddaughter, Retha Gay Deane.
Survivors include two sons: Merlin G. Deane of Guymon and George Dewey Deane and wife Loyce of Rogers, Ark.; 10 grandchildren, and five generations of great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday morning, Aug. 23 at 10 a.m. at the Bunch – Roberts Chapel with Robert Deane officiating.  Interment will follow in the Elmhurst Cemetery.  Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
