Emily Janine El-Amoudi

Emily Janine El-Amoudi, 14, of Guymon, passed away Thursday July 19, 2012 at the Children’s Hospital OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City.
The daughter of Hassan and Kim El-Amoudi, she was born Nov. 24, 1997 in Guymon.   
Emily was a very bright, beautiful, vibrant young lady. She was a loving daughter and great big sister. She recently graduated from Guymon Jr. High School and was awaiting to start her freshman year in the Guymon High School.
Emily was very active in school, the community and with her family.  She started her love of basketball and volleyball at a young age in Kids Inc. sports.  As she entered Jr. High school the love for these sports grew more as she continued to participate in them. 
She was also very active in NJHS, where she was the secretary.  She was also a member of STUCCO. 
She shared many special friendships throughout her school years. Emily was a member of Claudia’s Dance Company, where she enjoyed Hip Hop and Clogging. She was an active member of Guymon Gators swim team. She loved traveling to meets and participate in all activities involved with the Gators. 
She loved to spend her time at Kidsville USA helping each child that came through the door.  She also kept all the teachers on their toes.
Emily enjoyed nothing more than the time she spent coaching her little sister Lauren in T-ball and soccer. She never missed a game when it came to cheering on her little brother Adam as he played basketball. She was very supportive of Adam and Lauren. 
Emily shared a special relationship with her grand-parents full of Hugs. Emily’s life has impacted and inspired so many people. You never saw Emily without a smile on her face. She was a strong, amazing and loving daughter, grand-daughter, sister and friend. Her love and memory will forever live in our hearts.
Emily is survived by her parents, Hassan and Kim El-Amoudi, sister of Adam and Lauren El-Amoudi all of Guymon; grandparents Ken and Kay Darnell of Guymon, Abdul Raouf and Zakie Elabed El-Amoudi of Tripoli, Labanon; aunts and uncles, Janine, Dado, Souad El-Amoudi, Tahsin and Abdul El-Amoudi. 
Special people that impacted Emily’s life include: Yaniri, Griselda, Gaby, Justin and Amelia (Mea) Guthrie.
Interment was conducted Friday afternoon, July 20 at 1 p.m. in the Elmhurst Cemetery.  Memorial services will be Tuesday, July 24 at 5 p.m. at the Guymon Jr. High Auditorium.  Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
Prayer services will be observed for three days overseas in Labanon.
The family request memorials be given to Guymon Gator Swim Team, American Cancer Society or Ronald McDonald House.  Memorials will be accepted at the Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1112, Guymon, OK 73942.
