Get ready to drag main this Saturday night Guymon, during "A Cause to Cruise," presented by 3 Wild Hairs Salon and Main Street Guymon.
"We would like to invite everyone to come, flash back to your teen age years, have fun and help us celebrate 50 years of cruising Main in Guymon," said Erin Dick, Event Presenter.
The cruise will benefit the Oklahoma Panhandle Circle of Friends, who actively supports the Don & Sybil Harrington Cancer Center and willtake place on Main Street in Guymon from 7-10 p.m.
Everyone is invited to come out and relive earlier days, cruising to favorite music of the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s.
That evening, Flatlanders Car Club will be hosting a car show.
Main Street Guymon will be offering a Truck Roundup, where the kids can explore several kinds of big trucks, including fire trucks, police vehicles, ambulances, a Sparks Electric bucket truck, a wrecker from K & K Auto Body and more.
According to Erin, the cruise route will be from around the court house to avoid the railroad, north bound on Main, turn right on 11th St to Ellison St., left on Ellison toward 12th St., and take the stop light to head right back down Main St.
"The route will run past 3 Wild Hairs twice and it will be lit up with pink christmas lights," Erin said.
Register for the event at the Main Street Guymon Office, at 116 N.E. 5th St. Early registration through Friday is $25, the day of the event $30 and includes :

"Everyone is to place the window decal on the upper passenger side of the windsheild," Erin said. "That's how we know who is supporting the cause."
