Success seems to be the common word being used to describe the fund-raiser for Anna Drake this past weekend.
A silent auction took place on Saturday evening at the Pickle Creek Center to help raise funds to go toward a wheel-chair van to bring Guymonâs own Anna Drake back to the Panhandle after spending time in a rehab hospital in Colorado for the past year.
Lumber Mart played a huge part in putting on this event for the community and they are very pleased with the turnout, and a substantial amount of money was made to go towards the van.
Barbara Raybon of Lumber Mart estimates that over 150 people were in attendance, and says that they are still getting donations and accepting donations at any time.
âIt went really well,â said Raybon. âIt was very successful and we were very pleased with the turnout. Everybody was wonderful.â
Raybon also was very excited to announce that Denise Keylon, who was in an accident by Texhoma, was the winner of the grill that Lumber Mart gave away.
The family and Lumber Mart are grateful for a supportive community who was so eager to help and came out to join them in their silent auction for Anna.
If you would still like to donate to the cause, stop by Lumber Mart or call Barbara at 338-3344.
