GOODWELL—Aggie volleyball took a touch loss at home Saturday, winning just one of four matches over Texas A&M International University.
The scores were 17-25, 13-25, 27-25 and 17-25.
Shaina Eddings recorded nine kills. Lexi McAdam, Alex Schmitt and Michaela Redding followed with eight each. Erica Skipper had four, Jessica DeBaun had three and Kayla Schwartz had one.
Schwartz led with 18 assists, followed by Terra Madden with 17. Skipper had two and Sarah Koster had one.
Nora Pulaski led with 20 digs, followed by Schmitt with 15, Skipper with 13, Schwartz with six, Redding and Shaina Eddings with two each, and McAdam and DeBaun had one each.
Reddings and Eddings each recorded one block.
“We’re young. We’re still trying to find our identity, even this late in the season. We’re trying to rebuild. The kids are young,” said Aggies head coach Mike Stephens.
The squad has two seniors, two juniors, four sophomores and three freshmen.
OPSU is 3-11 overall so far this season. The Aggies are about half way through the 2012 season. The Aggies visit Dallas Baptist University on Oct. 4, Huston-Tillotson University in Austin, Texas, on Oct. 5, St. Edward’s University in Austin on Oct. 6 and Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva on Oct. 9. The next opportunity to see Aggie volleyball at home will be Oct. 11, at 7 p.m., when OPSU hosts University of Texas Permian Basin. McMurry University visits on Oct. 13, at noon.
