4-H kids share the fun

The 2011 Texas County 4-H Share-The-Fun talent competition took place on Saturday, Nov. 12, at 6 p.m. at the Guymon Central Junior High High Auditorium. Eleven acts were presented to the judges.   The Cloverbud participant was Tempe Oakes, who played a piano solo. The Guymon Junior 4-H Club won 1st place of the large groups in the Jr. divison.   The 4-H members in this group were Moriah Croisant, Maggie Bellew, Melissa Crelly, Janeigh De La Paz, Kyrah De La Paz, Bryar Homan, Jaden Johnson, Jacob Johnson, Jake Lammes, Sarah Lindley, Cecilia Sappington and Alec Sappington.    In the senior division of large groups Tyrone 4-H received First place.  The members of the Tyrone 4-H Club that participated were Alondra Avilez, Jordan Koehn, Ryon Reese, Kasia Salley, Cole Wall and Rayna Wall. Second place in the Senior Large Group went to the Guymon 4-H Club — Brice Bagley, Rebecca Bagley, Elizabeth Conner, Hannah Gloden, Zachary League, Zoe League, Bethany Jones and Tanner Jones. Third place Senior Large Group was given to Goodwell Eagles — Austin Glover, Dustin Glover, Karissa Glover, Shayna Glover, Rachel Helms, and Kasey Grunewald.  Guymon Junior 4-H Club received First place for the Junior Small Group. Those members were Melissa Crelly, Bryar Homan, Jaden Johnson and Jacob Johnson.  First place Junior Individual was awarded to Zoe League and Second place Junior Individual was Zach League both of the Guymon 4-H Club. Third place Jr. Individual was awarded to Sarah Lindley of the Guymon Junior4-H Club and Fourth place was given to Samuel Oakes also of the Guymon Jr 4-H Club.  Fifth place was awarded to Shayna Glover of the Goodwell Eagles 4-H Club.Champion and Reserve Champion (First and Second place) groups were awarded cash prizes sponsored by Texas County Farmers Union of Hooker.  The cash prizes will help groups chosen to compete in the District Contest in January pay for entry fees and other expenses.
