Guymon City Council made a move at the most recent regular council meeting to enact an increase in municipal court fees, as well as approve an increase in OSBI fees. Interim City Manager Larry Mitchell advised council that the raise in fees was a request from the Guymon Municipal Court.
The Guymon Chamber of Commerce and the American Legion have partnered to bring the constituents of Oklahoma Senate District 27 a “Meet the Candidates” Forum.
This year, a change to law went into effect on Nov. 1 that will allow those who bake a tasty loaf of bread in their home kitchens to once again sell in certain places, including farmer’s markets, in Oklahoma.
At the most recent Guymon City Council meeting, an announcement that budget cuts across the board in the face of lower revenues was made to the public. The announcement came after city council membership gathered in a budget workshop session ahead of the regular council meeting.

Guymon High School’s competitive One Act Play production of Anne Commire’s Starting Monday won the Class 5A State Championship on Saturday (Oct. 28).
Additionally, actors Shalay Tyree and Kathryn Bayless were named to the prestigious All State Cast for their performances in the play.
