December 30th
Jimmie Leon Carter, 78, passed away Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at his home in Guymon.
The son of Olin and Gladys (Romine) Carter, he was born Dec. 5, 1934, in Taloga, Okla. Jimmie lived in Guymon for the past 63 years.
He attended Guymon Schools graduating in 1952.
He studied in the Trade and Industrial program.
He was employed by JM McCullough Tool Company retiring when he was 50 years old.
He enjoyed his friends and family throughout his retirement.
December 27th
Darrell Ray Cooper, 48, of Guymon; passed away Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 26, 2012 at the Odyssey Hospice in Amarillo.

The son of Billy W. and Madeline (Wagner) Cooper, he was born Aug. 7, 1964 in Guymon. Darrell attended school in Hardesty graduating with the Class of 1982, he then attended digital electronics training in Oklahoma City.

Evelyn Louise Papay, 86, former Optima resident, passed away Dec. 25, 2012, in Oklahoma City.
Services will be Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012 at the Panhandle Bible Center in Guymon with Rev. Jim Jamieson officiating.
Evelyn and her twin brother Everett were born Oct. 6, 1926, in Elkhart, Kan., to John and Mary Arella McCaffery Nester.

Evelyn L. Papay, 86, longtime Optima resident, passed away early Christmas morning, Dec. 25, 2012  in Oklahoma City.

Pauline Thompson, age 76, died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City. She was born Feb. 19, 1936 in Guymon, the daughter of Alfred and Minnie (Wainscott) Robinson.
Memorial service will be Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Elkhart, with Pastor Ed Richards, Reverend Ginger Howl, and Reverend David Johnson officiating. Memorials may be given in lieu of flowers to the First Baptist Church for missionaries or the Morton County Libarary in care of Garnand Funeral Home, P.O. Box 854, Elkhart, KS 67950.

Nell Dean Knight Bagwell, 77, of Gruver died Friday, Dec. 21, 2012.
Services will be Thursday, Dec. 27 at 2 p.m. in the Gruver United Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Chappell, pastor, officiating. A public viewing well be held in the Gruver United Methodist Church Parlor on Dec. 26 from 3-6 p.m.
Nell Dean was born Aug. 7, 1935 in Groom, Texas to John Richard Cornell Knight and Ruth Alberta Barton Knight. She married Leon Bagwell July 9, 1954 in Tucumcari, N.M.
They lived in Gruver for 47 years and Nell Dean was a pillar of her community, church, and her family.
Dan H. Graham, 77, of Hugoton, Kan. died Friday Dec. 21, 2012 at Northwest Texas Hospital, Amarillo.
Funeral Service will be Wednesday Dec. 26, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the First Christian Church in Hugoton, with Reverend Randy Nash officiating. Interment will follow at the Hugoton Cemetery. Friends may call Monday Dec. 24, 2012 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Garnand Funeral Home in Hugoton. Memorial contributions may be given to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or the First Christian Church of Hugoton, in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 423 S. Main, Hugoton, KS 67951.
Jim Berry, 65, of Texhoma passed away Sunday afternoon, Dec. 23, 2012 at the Odyssey Hospice in Amarillo, Texas.
Funeral services are pending and will be announced by the Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.

Dale Stevens, lifetime Tyrone, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life on Dec. 17, 2012 at 5 p.m. at the Rainbow Community Health Center in Bristow, Okla., at the age of 97 years and 3 months.
Memorials are suggested to the Tyrone Cemetery Fund or the Kecia Deann Stevens Memorial Endowment in Nursing at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, and may be left at Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, Box 745, Hooker, Ok 73945.
Terry Lee Tarrant, DDS, 83, of Claremore, Okla. passed away Dec. 17, 2012 at Hillcrest South Hospital in Tulsa.
Graveside services will be Friday, Dec. 21, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the Hooker Cemetery, with Rev. Les Bussel officiating. Memorial contributions are suggested to Meals-On-Wheels or the United Methodist Church and may be given to Roberts Brothers Funeral Home P.O. Box 745 Hooker, OK, 73945.
