After 19 months of waiting, the Guymon Police Department and Texas County Sheriffâs Department are pleased to have received a shipment of army surplus rifles, which will better prepare law enforcement an additional tool to serve and protect, if the situation should arise.
Several Guymon North Park and Jr. High school students will gathering in Turpin with students from other areas in the state, Saturday morning, to participate in the Circle the State With Song (CTSWS) Honor Choir.
According to Guymon School Choir Director Becky Jett, the Oklahoma Music Educators Association sponsors the statewide program.
Austin Stark is 17 years old, and was born in Perryton. He has lived in Guymon for about 3 and a half years. His favorite experience in High School was when he got the chance to go bungee jumping, but he has many to choose from. In school he enjoys art above everything else.
âIt is the only class you can truly express yourself in. You can always be you,â he said.
