On March 21, 2011, the District 1 Task Force (DATF) obtained twelve arrest warrants from the District Court of Texas County, Oklahoma, for persons engaged in the sale and distribution of controlled dangerous substances (CDS), including marijuana, cocaine, and prescription medications. The arrest warrants in Texas County were obtained as the initial phase of wrapping up âOperation Surpriseâ conducted under the direction of the DATF. This investigation was initiated in mid-November, 2010, with a deputy from Harper County operating undercover buying CDS.
Fresh off their River Road Tournament championship, the Guymon Tigers kept on rolling Tuesday and continued to make life tough for Texas teams.
The Tigers jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the top of the first inning and never looked back as they went on to beat Dalhart, 15-4.
By the end of the second inning the Tigers (5-1) were up 10-0 before Dalhart finally go on the board in the third, cutting it to 10-3.
Just for good measure the Tigers tacked on five more in the fourth before surrendering one in the fifth.

LIBERAL, Kan. â Guymon Lady Tigers head soccer coach Michelle Davis canât do anything about the wind. A strong southwest wind that had been swirling around Redskin Field the entire first half suddenly switched direction and roared straight out of the north â right as the second half kicked off.
That put it at Liberalâs back in the second half, keeping Guymon on the defensive and allowing Liberal to pull out a 2-0 win with two late goals by senior Crystal Tiscareno.
Two homes were devastated after a grass fire, mixed with high winds, spread quickly out of control.
Guymon firefighters responded to a grass fire approximately 15 miles north of Guymon on Road O and Mile 22 at around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
"The electrical lines had shorted out due to the wind and with it being so dry, it sparked a fire," said Texas County Emergency Manager Harold Tyson. "It ended up spreading to Road 31 or 32, the fire department will have more information later."
